Via Ferrata "Assault on the Villa".
Description
This introductory route, with a difficulty rating of K2, offers a 105-meter course and a 50-meter elevation change, making it suitable for beginners and children.
Main features:
- Sections: The route consists of several segments, including a horizontal section over the Castielfabib irrigation ditch, vertical sections, walkways, a suspension bridge and a final ridge.
- Bridges: It has two bridges; one of them is a suspension bridge made of planks that adds excitement to the journey.
- Optional rappels: At the end of the route, there is a descent variant using three rappels of 7, 9 and 19 meters, for which it is recommended to carry a rope of at least 40 meters.
Access and approach:
To reach the start of the route, you can park in the village of Castielfabib. The approach is short, about 5 minutes, starting from an information panel located next to the CV-479 road, before a tunnel. From there, a path leads to the start of the via ferrata.
Return:
After completing the route, the return to the parking lot or the village is short, approximately 5 minutes, allowing you to explore places of interest such as the Peña Garrate viewpoint or the Plaza la Villa.

History:
The name of the road commemorates the historic assault of 1210, when Aragonese soldiers under the command of Peter II the Catholic took the Moorish fortress of Castielfabib, taking advantage of the terrain's topography to surprise the Almohad troops.
