The Royal Villa of Castielfabib It hides beneath its feet one of the most spectacular geological formations in the Rincón de Ademuz: the Ebron River Gorge.

The route, which runs parallel to the Ebrón River —the true backbone of the valley—, can be done throughout the year, except on the hottest or coldest days or hours of winter.
The route starts from the town center of Castielfabib, descends briefly to cross the road, and then enters the area beneath the rocks on which the church stands. After a gentle descent, it climbs along a cobbled path that leads to the Old Town, and then wind its way to the La Ruidera bridge, on the Hebron River.
From there, you ascend along cobbled paths towards the Convent of San Guillermo, where the views over the more open part of the Hoces are spectacular. The path continues on level ground, following the course of the river until reaching the Hituelo Caves, a place to take refuge from the heat or the cold while admiring the rock formations inside.
The return journey descends alongside towering rock walls and the pipes that carry water to the old power station. After turning right, you reach the narrowest part of the gorge, where the path follows the irrigation channel to a platform with breathtaking views of the river nestled between the natural cliffs.
Finally, the route retraces its steps to cross the river again and ascend towards Castielfabib, where you can complete the experience by visiting its beautiful old town.

There are no water sources along the route, so it's best to bring all the water you might need and a little extra. - It's important to respect the integrity of the monuments, stalactites, and rock formations you'll find along the way; you shouldn't take anything or alter the environment. - In some sections, the path or tracks run close to considerable cliffs; in these sections, it's advisable to keep children by the hand. - If you bring a flashlight or headlamp, you can fully enjoy the caves; in any case, you can always use your mobile phone's flashlight. - The power station building is accessible by car; in case of fatigue or injury, anyone can be easily evacuated without having to walk back up to the village.
